OPEN POSITIONS
Dr. Bai's group is always looking for self-motivated, talented, and qualified researchers to conduct computational materials research. Currently, the research focus of the group is on computer modeling of radiation effects in nuclear materials. The team members have the opportunities to collaborate with faculties in other research groups as well as with top scientists at U.S. national laboratories. If interested, please send your CV to Dr. Xianming (David) Bai (xmbai@vt.edu) to find out the current open positions.

Graduate students (PhD students preferred):
 - Education in materials science or closely related disciplines
 - Good math, physics, and programming skills
 - Prior materials modeling experience is not required, but highly desired

Undergraduate students:
- Education in materials science or closely related disciplines
- Good math, physics, and programming skills

- Opportunities are available for credit or non-credit based undergraduate research, as well as for senior design

Postdoctoral researchers:
- Demonstrated ability of conducting independent research in computational materials science
- Have expertise in one or more materials modeling methods such as density functional theory, molecular dynamics,
kinetics Monte Carlo, phase field, cluster dynamics
- Good publication record
- Prior experience in modeling nuclear materials is a plus, but not required

Visiting scholars:

- Identify fellowship opportunities
- Technical requirement is similar to postdoctoral researchers
